So is the BMW in the picture yours? Very nice, if so. Once you’ve drove a BMW theres nothing that will ever compare with “the Ultimate Driving Machine!”
That one waaaaaaaas ours. I sold it to an old guy in Louisville. Met him half way in Shelbyville and as I was leaving, another old dude in a Buick parked way to close to it and gave it a door ding. Broke my heart since I had worked so hard to keep it in good shape. It only had 37k miles on it when I sold it. That one had the 3.0 liter, which was too much engine for the chassis I think. The coupes handled this and the “M” engines better with less flexing and cowl shake……It was fun to have, even though it spend most of the time in the garage.
Just wanted to thank you John Rice for your blog! I read it often and think you are so right on about well everything, I’m a former agent from Ft. Myers, Florida, now considering jumping back in soon. Thank you!
Thanks Donna! I think you should jump back in 🙂
Thanks for this blog…I have many fond memories of growing up in Lexington many moons ago. One day I will go back for a visit. Until then, I’ll keep reading this blog….thanks!
